Flash Programming Tools

In-system flash programming is an important aspect of modern manufacturing processes. The CSM tools UNI-COM II+ and OMNIPROG_2 are optimized for high-speed flash programming. They provide versatile interfaces towards the target to be programmed. A simple but powerful connection with the production equipment is implemented to control the tools.

UniCOM II+

UNI-COM II+ is an universal communication and programming tool. It acts as an intelligent adaptor between the production equipment (e.g. in-circuit-tester or control computer) and the product (e.g. electronic control unit).
UNI-COM II+ provides different standard interfaces towards the product as well as microcontroller-specific communication interfaces. UNI-COM II+ has a RS232 interface and an USB interface towards the control computer. Communication between computer and UNI-COM II+ uses command/response telegrams. For flash-programming UNI-COM II+ has a built-in memory to store all data to be programmed into the product.

UNI-COM II+ architecture is very flexible. The different interfaces are integrated on individual daughterboards.

OmniPROG_2

OMNIPROG_2 is a bootstrap flash programming tool. It is optimized for Infineon C167 microcontroller and compatibles, e.g. ST10. OMNIPROG_2 is a stand-alone solution – no control computer is required for the flash programming process. A memory card stores the data to be programmed as well as a command file and system software. For integration into the production equipment, digital control and status lines are available.

OMNIPROG_2 has several serial interfaces for target connection (TTL, K, J1708). For future extensions a CAN bus interface can be provided.
